BLANCHED HAZELNUT
Blanched hazelnut kernels are premium-quality nuts obtained by carefully removing the thin brown skin from natural hazelnuts through a controlled dry-heat process. Sourced mainly from Turkey’s Black Sea region — globally renowned for its superior hazelnut production — these kernels are prized for their smooth, light ivory appearance, rich flavor, and versatile usability. With typical sizes of 9–11 mm, 11–13 mm, and 13–15 mm, blanched hazelnuts maintain a moisture level below 5% and an oil content of around 60–68%, ensuring optimal freshness, crispness, and long shelf life.
The blanching process enhances the kernel’s color and flavor while preserving its nutritional properties, including high levels of healthy fats, protein, fiber, and vitamin E. Each batch is processed under strict ISO, BRC, and HACCP food safety standards using modern equipment for sorting, grading, and metal detection to guarantee purity and consistency. Depending on the end use, blanched hazelnuts can also be lightly roasted to intensify flavor and improve texture, meeting various industrial specifications.
