ROASTED HAZELNUT

Roasted hazelnut kernels are premium-quality nuts derived from carefully selected natural hazelnuts (Corylus avellana), grown in Turkey’s renowned Black Sea region. After shelling, the kernels are dry-roasted under controlled temperature and time conditions to enhance their natural flavor, aroma, and crisp texture. The roasting process not only deepens the characteristic nutty taste but also reduces moisture to below 2%, ensuring an extended shelf life and excellent stability during storage and transport.

These kernels are typically offered in calibers such as 9–11 mm, 11–13 mm, and 13–15 mm, available either with skin, partially blanched, or fully blanched, depending on customer preference. Each batch is processed in modern facilities under strict food safety standards (ISO, BRC, and HACCP certified), ensuring uniform roasting, cleanliness, and compliance with global export regulations. Roasted hazelnut kernels have a rich oil content of around 60–68%, providing a smooth, buttery texture and an intense, aromatic taste profile favored by both industrial and retail buyers.

Applications and Markets: Roasted hazelnut kernels are widely used in the chocolate, confectionery, bakery, and snack industries, serving as key ingredients in spreads, pralines, biscuits, and cereal bars. They are also popular as a ready-to-eat, healthy snack rich in protein, vitamins, and antioxidants. Global markets, particularly in Europe, North America, and the Middle East, highly value Turkish roasted hazelnuts for their consistent quality, excellent roasting uniformity, and versatility across both retail packaging and large-scale food production.
