Skimmed Milk Powder (SMP) is a high-quality dairy ingredient obtained by removing the fat content from fresh cow’s milk, leaving a product with less than 1.5% milk fat. This fine, white powder retains all essential proteins, lactose, minerals, and vitamins naturally present in milk, making it an ideal choice for industrial applications requiring low-fat dairy solutions. The powder is produced through advanced spray-drying techniques that ensure consistent particle size, solubility, and microbiological safety while maintaining the nutritional integrity of milk.

 

Typically, skimmed milk powder has a moisture content below 5%, with protein levels ranging from 34–36%, and a controlled bulk density between 0.45–0.55 g/cm³, ensuring uniformity in processing.
